Water cooling is not an accessory to a water-cooled furnace cable. It is part of the cable's operating system.
High electrical current creates heat through electrical resistance. A properly designed cooling circuit removes this heat and helps control conductor temperature. Industry references emphasize that restricted or inadequate water flow can contribute to overheating in induction-furnace power leads.
For this reason, a cable quotation should not be evaluated only by copper cross-section or price. Cooling-water design must also be considered.

The buyer should confirm the water inlet and outlet arrangement, hose construction, connection dimensions and the required cooling conditions for the furnace system. The actual operating flow, inlet temperature and pressure should be compatible with the customer's cooling system.
Water passages must also remain reliable during movement. A tilting furnace can repeatedly bend and move the cable, so the hydraulic path and hose structure need to withstand the mechanical conditions.
A useful maintenance routine is to inspect the cable for hose damage, abnormal heating, leakage, loose connections and changes in cooling performance. If the furnace shows an unusual temperature increase or water-flow alarm, the cable should be inspected together with the cooling circuit rather than replacing the cable blindly.
For new installations, provide the manufacturer with the furnace cooling-water information. For replacement orders, send photographs of the old cable and its connections.
At Zheng Zhou Li Zhao Electric Furnace Co., Ltd., we can use the customer's cable dimensions, terminal details and application information to prepare a technical confirmation before production.
